Why did you keep Branch as your last name?

Susan Branch I was selling my watercolors before I left California (and my marriage), and because of the signed paintings (I told myself) I decided to keep Branch ... but I think the real reason was that I never cared for the alliteration of Susan Stewart, too many "S's" ~ plus, instead of always hearing "How do you spell Stewart?" ~ Branch was easy, I could say "Branch like a tree" and be done with it. I'm glad I did, it always fit me, and I think sometimes the right name is one of the pieces that fall into place for destiny.
