Goodreads asked Tony Russo:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Tony Russo My high school teacher made this easy: read anything you can get your hands on. Don't just read your favorites over and over, or pick up what other people were reading. Experiment. Try other categories. Read non-fiction. Read poetry. Read a scientific journal. My world as a writer opened up when I meandered outside the science fiction section at the library.
