I just listened to an interview with the author in which he mentions Niall Ferguson's book "Empire" in passing - http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/latenightlive/dir-britain-modernise-india/10012536 Has anyone here read both? Any compare-and-contrast, particularly on details of what-all happened in India?
