Hi again! I also was wondering which of your characters in the Stranje House series do you most identify with, and why? Additionally (I hope you don't mind all my questions!), do you have any advice for developing characters and the relationships between those characters when writing?

This is a hard question.
Hhmm. I am bossy like Lady Jane. But I love to climb, run and ride horses like Tess. And I have this weird connection with animals like she does. I'd like to think I'm sensitive like Sera, but I'm not nearly as smart. Maya, who I'm writing about now, feels alone. That is something I understand deeply. But she also has an extraordinary gift of perceiving sound, that I only wish I had. Georgie is a science nerd like me. So you see I identify with all of them on one level or another. If I absolutely had to say it would probably be Jane.
My advice on characters, even your villians, is to love them. If you feel deeply about each character, and convey that on the page, it is likely that readers will pick up on it and connect with them as well.

Hello Kathleen! I have read your amazing Stanje series a NUMBER of times, so many times I can’t keep count haha, and I was wondering what gave you the inspiration for this story? As an aspiring writer myself I always wonder where authors come up with their amazing ideas! Thank you so much!
