Hi! I just wanted to ask about your writing process when it comes to characters: how do you come up with their personalities and their looks? Also, how often are your characters based on people you've met?

I used to put people from my life in my stories when I started writing. I do it less now, but they show up often in my poems.

I met Ella Enchanted in 7th grade and wore the book out to the point it fell apart, When I was old enough I bought it for myself, and I read it every few years, just as fresh and just as fun every time I read it. Do you think you will ever write another fairy tale more like that?
