Your books enchanted my childhood, so I was wondering what steps you took to find the agent and publishing companies right for the magic of your stories. When did you start looking for a literary agent? I would so appreciate your advice!

Gail Carson Levine Congratulations on your achievement! The best thing I did when I was starting out was to join The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the biggest, most encouraging writers' group in the universe, most helpful for people who are at the beginning of their careers. I'm still a member!
