I really enjoyed the talk that you gave at the Adams House on 6-29-18. The room under the pool in the Homestake Rec building that was spooky due to the Halloween decorations was actually the Fallout Shelter that all towns had due to the threat of nuclear war. How do you write dialogue ? Your characters seem to flow with their conversations.

Ann Charles Hi Alex, thank you for joining me at the Adams House. That was an exciting day that ending with that crazy hail storm. I hope you managed to escape injury and damage from that. That's interesting about the Fallout Shelter. The Opera House is an amazing building with so many uses in the past. I would have loved to have seen it back in the early years.
As for writing dialogue--I read a lot of what I write out loud when editing it, listening for the cadence and flow of the dialogue. Plus, I try to make it look on the page how we often speak for real. I appreciate the kind words on the dialogue flow. I'm always working on improving my writing in all areas, including dialogue.
Take care,
Ann
