Goodreads asked Lolly Walter:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lolly Walter I take a break. Usually just getting away from my laptop for a few hours will readjust my frame of mind and get the creativity flowing again. I like to daydream about my characters--stick them all in a room in my head, with all their current problems and feelings, and see what they do.

If I have to, I can write my way out of writer's block by just typing whatever jumbled story crap comes out of my head. Sometimes I end up deleting everything I've written and sometimes I keep it, but the mental exercise helps prime my brain for the work of crafting a story.
