The best thing about being a writer is writing about the imaginary friends you had as a kid. A lot of the characters I write about today are imaginary friends I had when I was ten. Being a writer means you get to create stories with them and share them with the world, and then when someone asks you about it you can just claim "oh, they're just my characters". :)
