I just get up in the morning, go to my desk and write.
If I waited for 'the muse' to strike, I'd pretty much just spend all my time surfing and procrastinating. Some days you grind things out, some days you get in a rhythm and all of a sudden it's 2am and you have a handful of chapters glowing back out from your screen.
