You should have something on Goodreads called your "Author Dashboard", most likely accessible from your Profile page, or from that drop-down menu from the circle on the far upper right. Start there and explore its tips. It has a link called "Author Tutorial" right on it.
I no longer remember how I first found/founded my own Author Dashboard, so perhaps a poster with a better memory could chime in below with more directing advce?

As a lover of all of your books, I also read most of the books that you recommend as well (and like them very much). I am wondering if you have read these books which I treasure: Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin, and the Master and Commander series by Patrick O’Brian? The first is a complex fantasy; the second may be well outside your area of interest as it concerns the British navy during the Napoleonic Wars .

Hi Lois! I'm really trying to take a crack at writing. I seem to find inspiration in everything these days. I literally can't have a conversation with someone or go for a walk without wanting to capture the experience in a story. But I've found that I'm extremely uncomfortable with my voice on the page. Everything feels too autobiographical, and preachy, and ultimately unimportant. Have you ever experienced this? :)
