This time I have 3 questions. Have you ever written something and hated it? What did you do about it? Do you know how deeply loved you are?

Not "hated," exactly, but I've written plenty of stuff that never saw and will never see the light of day; it's part of the process. Occasionally, very rarely, I have destroyed stuff, but mostly I save it for possible future amendment, or for dissection and eventual reincarnation of the dissected parts in some other form. My wife loves me mightily.

Have you read any of Annie Proulx's books? I just finished Close Range, Wyoming Stories for a literature class I'm taking. I so value your thoughts and opinions, if you have read them, would you share your thoughts? (If you have not read them, this is not a recommendation, unless you like reading about violence against men and women, rape (including that of young girls), sexual exploits of everyone with everyone,.)

This isn't a question. In my reading of Code Girls, it has struck me the weight these women carried during the war and even long after. That had to be so difficult. In my reading now, it's D-Day. Those women knew the day was coming but did not know the day. When they first received the messages that it was commencing, they were told not to speak of it even after the news broke across the nation. Can you imagine?
