Will Schwalbe:
Hi Will! Thank you for your quick reply. I was just searching for a good book on the history of Ireland as I am heading there tomorrow for a two week visit. Do you know that when I googled top books by Irish authors one list showed Dracula by Bram Stoker as number 1? I had no idea Bram Stoker was Irish! Of course this led to a Wikipedia check and the info that Bram was friends with Oscar Wilde. So I am still looking!

Sorry to be so slow to answer! I remember hearing good things about HOW THE IRISH SAVED CIVILIZATION by Thomas Cahill so that might be one to try. And if you want your history in novel form, there's the wonderful IRELAND by Frank Delaney. Hope you are having/have had a marvelous trip. So many literary landmarks!

Loved your book The End of Your Life Book Club!! My review can be found at getbetweenthecovers.weebly.com Thank you for the wonderful book. I have recommended it to a few people and we are reading it for the book club that I started in my small Minnesota community. Do you have any suggestions for a book club read?

Love your books because I love reading and writing. (I've been a professional writer for 40 years, specializing in writing admissions and fundraising materials for colleges and schools. I live in Brunswick, Maine and write stuff for newspapers as well as alumni magazines. Also, I worked in admissions at Bowdoin under Dick Moll (you may know him) and had a chance to meet your mom. Ever get to Maine?
