I loved this book. It's a great "beach read," perfect for the summer when you're looking for something compelling and fun. But was anyone else disappointed by the ending?

The cheery wrap-up summarizing everyone’s happy destinies was the sort of thing I’d expect to find in the work of an inferior writer. Setting aside the question of which characters were “nice,” I was dismayed by the casual dismissal of Cath’s murder (heartbreaking for her parents and sister) as just one more loose end to tie up in the heroine’s journey to happiness. And though not a lawyer, I can think of a half-dozen reasons why the rapid legal execution of Gregg was about as probable as his dying quickly of leprosy.(less)
