I just read this, and being on the younger side, I would say a 14-15 year old could read this. It might make some of them uncomfortable, but I think everyone 14+ could at least handle it. There is a lot of swearing, and the things the characters do are DEFINITELY really dark, but it IS a murder mystery. It follows the thoughts of a murderer sometimes, though. Just know what you're going into before you do.

I would say 16 at the youngest, and preferably much older. There was no sex, but the dark theme of heinous acts and truly hateful behavior by teens is not something I would want my kid being influenced by. I just feel like this is way too dark to be considered a YA / Young Adult book and it disturbs me that it would be marketed as such.

I've never read this book before, but I know someone who is, and I would maybe say 13+, but if u r a maturer reader, maybe younger. But don't take this answer as a "real" answer, in other words, don't really trust it.

I just read this one, and I think it is appropriately included in our high school collection, not at our middle school. I would not encourage this for anybody under 14.

I thought it was great it just had the f word, which can offend some parents and students plus some more deeper issues, so as Allison noted I would suggest 16 and up.
