This question contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[When I first read *The Hallowed Hunt* years ago, I wrote you that I didn't like it as well as the first two "Five Gods" novels. Now after re-reading all three, plus gaining more understanding of spirit animals from Penric, I am happy to say I was totally wrong. I did not dig under the surface like I should have. Maybe I am older and smarter now? Great book. And now I understand why you used the POV you did. (hide spoiler)]

Thanks for giving The Hallowed Hunt a second chance! A startling number of readers have reported the same first read/second read effect you describe. I'm still trying to figure out why.
My current theory is that series readers were nonplussed by finding it was not a continuation of the first two books, and spent their first read mad at it for their thwarted expectations. Once they calmed down and were willing to take it was it was, their reads improved.
Or it might be that they really did grow older and smarter, who knows? Readers who shared this experience are welcome to chime in below and share it some more.

My apologies if this is too personal a question.. I have read a majority of your books and just finished reading Penric's hardcover editions and re-reading the rest of the World of Five Gods series...and I notice a recurring theme of older/younger romances. Betriz/Cazaril Fawn/Dag even Penric and Desdemona. Drawing from personal experience or drawn to that dymamic for purely the tension it adds?

First, thank you for all you've written, especially the Vorkosigan Saga; Aral and Jole and Cordelia's relationship meant a lot to me; I've been in a similar position to Jole's re: Aral (age, power, love), and "but he's ooold! it's immoral! how dare?" But re: the Betan herms. I know they're not intersex, but I am, and reading them meant a lot to me. I'd been wondering if there was any early Moravian influence there?

Heading to Dublin for WorldCon 2019 tomorrow with questions all planned for your kaffeeklatsch, only to discover you won't be there! So glad to see there's an alternative that you're active on, so I can ask my questions here instead. Since I'm character-limited, I'll split them into multiples. First question: do you have a page where you publish your con schedule, or does one have to dig through your blog?
