Goodreads asked C.R. Flamingbush:

How do you get inspired to write?

C.R. Flamingbush Wow, that's a great question, and I don't know if it has a single answer. Praying inspires me. So does the Bible. I love humor, and humor flows when I'm at peace. That seems to be a key ingredient to getting inspired, because whatever I try to force stops flowing.

Book series such as C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia inspire me too, and so does opposition from people who disagree with issues I care deeply about. It gives me a reason to press through writer's block even when I'm tired. Movies, whether good or bad, can inspire me too. The things I like I try to emulate to a degree. The things I hate motivate me to do the opposite. But the main thing is to be at rest, free from worry. That's something I need to fight for every day.
