How do you deal with writer’s block?

R.W. Van Sant I have many projects going at once, if one is giving me a hard time, then I edit or rewrite another, I work on something else creative, in my case playing guitar, or making chain mail jewlery. I find that the shift from one from of artistic expression can help me. Then when I get that burst of creativity, I get on it.
Sometimes, however, you just have to accept the fact that you are not always going to be brilliant, or clever and just get the story put on to paper. Then with the pressure off, work on being brilliant, creative and cleaver in rewrite.
