This is a completely ridiculous detail to ask about, but in Chapter 9 when the Judge is looting the Indian corpse in the riverbed, where/how the heck would said Indian have acquired a "Tiger-Skin" bag?

As far as I can tell they're just talking about jaguars or ocelots. On the Wikipedia page for Jaguars it mentions that in Mexican Spanish they used to be referred to as tigers.(less)
