Alison McBain "Never give up, never surrender!" Writing is about persistence. If you believe in your work, someone else will believe in it too, even if you're not an overnight success. Few writers are. This business has a lot of rejection. Don't let someone else decide whether you have a voice or not. You DO, and it's worth hearing.
