asked:
Always been curious since I love both books, is the name any sort of homage to The Seven Hsubands of Evelyn Hugo, or just a weird coincidence? There wouldn't seem to be any sort of connection as they are very different books, but I LOVE both.

Complete coincidence - that's why we had to change the US title to 7 1/2 Deaths.

Thanks for asking this question! I was curious about the same thing. What a coincidence!

So glad to find this question asked (and answered!) as it was running through my mind the entire time I was reading it. Also how the first time we see Evelyn Hardcastle she's wearing a green dress. Such an odd coincidence! But admittedly, it its probably what drew me to choosing this book, having loved Evelyn Hugo so much.

Funny thing is that this book got my attention because of the twisted similarity to Taylor Jenkins Reid's book! Plus I love the dose of murder!

And I thought the title sounded like a sequel to The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna!

Seven as in seven deadly sins, maybe?
