what was Odd asking his mother to help him remember? (When she got upset and threatened to shoot herself) He kept pushing her to remind him of something - but i must have missed it , because I don't get what he wanted from his crazy mother?!

He says several times that the wound was weird but doesn’t consciously process why it’s weird. By provoking his mother to reenact the gun part, he realizes that he missed something important with the wound. He goes back to where he stashed the body and discovers the satanic tattoo which then leads him to connect it to the cop and that allowed his sixth sense to lead him to the mall. (less)
