Hi Mark, I'm currently reading (and enjoying!) Road Brothers. It seems to me that the Broken Empire is a setting that keeps on giving in terms of unique and interesting stories. Have you considered a follow up anthology peeling back the cracks on places and people encountered in the Red Queen's War?

The newer edition of Road Brothers does have a Jalan story in it, and I have written a second one that is currently only available in the Art of War charity anthology. I will probably write a Snorri story for the upcoming Unfettered III anthology ... so I am working on it. Just very slowly!

Hey Mark! I finished 'The Broken Empire trilogy' a short while back and just started the 'Red Queen's War Trilogy'. So far I am just loving how unique you have managed to keep the protagonists. What I want to ask is, what gave you the inspiration to make a character like Jalan after a character like Jorg? Also do you think, at some point, we may get to see the continuation after the ending of your first trilogy?

Despite his single minded focus which often evinces the harshest brutality, cruelty and callousness, there seems to be a deeply buried goodness in him. How did you manage to pull that off with such an amoral character?

How did you decide on your titles and covers for you books? The popular saying goes that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but that is exactly what I do when looking for a book. That's how I picked up Prince of Thorns. The titles for the Broken Empire obviously relate to the story, but did you think of the title before or after you wrote the first draft? Were you originally going to call it something else?
