I'm desperate for more Whiskey Creek. I know you said there would be at least 14 books. I've checked your website and I haven't seen when you'd be releasing the next one. Do you have any idea when that would be? And who's book? Like a lot of your readers, I'm curious to see how the Dylan/Cheyenne sub plots resolves itself.

Hi Mallory! I'm so sorry that it's taken me this long to see your question. Feel free to hit the Contact button on my website in the future. I will respond much, much more quickly (although I will try to remember to check here in future, too). Yes, there will be more Whiskey Creek, but I don't know when they will come out. There will be four more stories--a story for Mack, Grady, Joe and, finally, Baxter. The resolution of Chey and Dylan's baby will be in Grady or Mack's story. Are you on my mailing list? If not, I hope you'll sign up so I can let you know when I have release dates: https://brendanovak.com/newsletter-si...

"The Last Stand" series really drew me in and it was something I could not put down. It was just dark and edgy enough to keep me interested without completely freaking me out. There seemed to be a lot of thought put into the plots. It made me wonder if you ever stress over research for your books (I get caught up in details) and what you do when you are hit with plots that do not seem to flow? Let characters lead?

Why? How? I do not understand the subplot of book 6. The entire time I was praying that it wouldn't take. The repercussions - and Chey was SO HYPOCRITICAL in the book. I couldn't finish it. I am so...it ruined the entire book and Chey and Dylan's story. Never in a million years would I be okay with the love of my life fathering my sister's child. And taking part in the process? Who does that?
