Set a writing schedule
Read-a-loud when proofreading
Find a select group to pre-read and critique your work (look for people who will provide you with honest feedback)
Set goals (daily, weekly and monthly). Sometimes they seem arbitrary but they will keep you focused and on track
Have fun. If you don't enjoy it, then it won't take...
