BRIAN CHRISTOPHER SHEA has spent most of his adult life in service to his country and local community. He honorably served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. In his civilian life, he reached the rank of Detective and accrued ten years of law enforcement experience between Texas and Connecticut. Somewhere in the mix he spent five years as a fifth-grade school teacher. Brian’s myriad of life experience is woven into the tapestry of each character’s design. He resides in New England and is blessed with an amazing wife and three beautiful daughters.

Writing has always been a dream, but life seemed to find a way of interrupting. It wasn’t until recently that he dedicated time to this passion. His first book, The Camel’s Back, gave him a much-needed

Hi Susan,
First off, thank you so much for taking the time to read my books and I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed them.

I've got a couple directions I can take the series. One is to focus remaining books on Declan (who has been a fan favorite) or do something with Nick as a private investigator in the Austin area.

I'm putting both those ideas on hold for a little bit. I've got a totally new series coming out. The first in series is already in the hands off the editing team and is titled Murder Board. It's a crime thriller set in Boston and follows Homicide Detective Michael Kelly. It should be out later this month or sometime in September.

Thanks so much for your support and I am glad you reached out.
All the best,

My full-time job is mentally taxing (I'm in a detective unit that handles sex assaults against children) so the writing allows me to escape to another place.

The other amazing aspect is connecting with readers around the world. I love that my story is being read by people in multiple countries. It makes the world seem small and engaging.(less)

Writing a Sequel

The launch of book two in the Nick Lawrence series took place on July 4th, 2018. As an author new to the writing game completing and releasing The Lion's Mouth brought with it an interesting blend of emotion. With the first book I was excited to make my mark on the writing world. I kept my fingers crossed that it would be well-received...and it had.

With book two I became nervous prior to its rele Read more of this blog post »

Without giving too much away, Whitewater will provide Hatch with some much needed peace. But as is the case with great warriors; reprieve is only temporary.

Unkillable can be read in either order. It is a true prequel and takes readers back to the beg See Full Answer

“him. “This is the team. Nicholas Lawrence and Isabella Martinez of the FBI.” “Agents,” Alex said, shaking hands. “Just Nick and Izzy. No formalities here.” Nick spoke as Izzy sized up Alex. His bronzed skin and thick muscles were clearly visible under the white linen button-up. Nick shot a glance at Izzy. She stood star struck. He understood how this guy had earned the nickname of Don Juan. Girls must throw themselves at him. He suddenly felt insecure. He was angry at himself for caring that Izzy had noticed him. They were partners. Nothing more. He was aware that this was becoming something that he had to convince himself of more and more lately. Declan continued, “You remember Hags? He’s our chauffeur.” He thumbed in the direction of Haggerty. “He’s now with the Bureau’s HRT. He’ll run tac ops for this thing.” “Well, we’re in good hands then. Come in and meet my sister, Cassidy. She’s pretty upset by all”
