They are the lifeblood of the artistic world. Not just stuff based on my work, obviously - literally every creative person got their start doing fan versions of other people's work. Artists get their start drawing famous comic characters, bands get their start doing cover songs, writers get their start writing fan fiction (even if they take the extra step of changing names around). I'm not even mad when it's pornographic - it's so hard for it not to be, under the circumstances.

This Book Is Full Of Spiders seemed a lot less bizzare and overall slightly more lucid and less crazy than JDATE. Was this intentional, and in your opinion how does JDATE3 stack up on the bizarre/crazy scale in comparison? Also its really weird how much JDATE sounds like a Jewish Dating site.

Are there any particular narrative structures that you use when outlining? Such as three-act structure, freytag’s pyramid, kishotenketsu, and so on. How do you make sure a story outline “works” in a dramatic sense? Or do you start with a general sense of what's going to happen, and leave certain dramatic decisions for the writing itself?
