I just got your book and I cannot wait to give it a go! Finishing up The Shining then on to Mount Char! I have recently been getting back into reading as sort of a stress relief fix. I feel like taking a break from reality and diving deep into the minds of you crazy authors helps! Thank you for helping me escape the clutches of stress and anxiety by creating a world where I can turn that all off! how many dogs?

Hey Sean,
I'm a huge Stephen King fan, and The Shining is one of my all-time favorites. I've read it probably fifty times. You, my friend, are in for a treat. Definitely check out The Stand and Salem's Lot as well.
We've got six dogs at the moment. We lost Kinsie not long ago to a combination of kidney failure and old age. It always sucks, but that one damn near killed me. She and I had been joined at the hip for years.
Actual Thane (he had a cameo in the book) is doing fine health-wise but continues to be kinda dumb.
Bon appetit!

Some really excellent world-building in The Library at Mount Char. It felt like a mix of different mythologies converging together, sort of a re-alignment of all our theories and beliefs and legends. What gave you the idea for the library, and for the scale of its studies?

Hey Scott, just finished up reading Mount Char and I had a fantastic time with it. It flowed so well and was an absolute blast to read. Look forward to whatever comes in the future. Do you ever plan on writing a sci fi novel? The scene towards the end where Carolyn replaces the Sun reminded me of a scene in Reynolds' Redemption Ark. Something about galaxies being represented on a small scale resonates with me.
