What are you currently working on? I'd love another epic fantasy series. Another question, what is your trick to writing five books with an average of 600 pages each in a year?
David Estes
Hi Thomas, thanks for stopping by. I do have another epic fantasy series in the works, but I must admit it's in the very early planning stages. And it will be long...and epic...so you might be waiting a little while. For that, I apologize. But to answer your question, I'm currently working on two projects, one under a penname and another in the space fantasy genre. I hope to release both by the end of the year.
As to your second question, there's not really any secret, except to write. I write every day. It's how I start my day, like brushing my teeth or having breakfast. I grab a quick bite, a cup of coffee, and then immerse myself in one of my worlds for at least 3,000 words. At that pace, I can finish the first draft of a 600 word novel in about 50 days. Keep at it long enough and you have a series. Then a few series. All that being said, keeping up this pace for almost eight years has not been easy. Looking back, I'm always surprised by how many books I've written and all I've accomplished. It's a good feeling, but also makes me want to do MORE. Each day I strive to bring more characters to life, to tell stories that will inspire and entertain my readers the same way my favorite authors have done for me.
Thanks again for all your support, Thomas! As a small token of my thanks, I would love to send you a pair of signed bookmarks. If you're interested, send an e-mail to davidestesbooks(at)gmail(dot)com with your mailing name and address :) Happy reading!

While waiting for Endfall, I started Fatemarked series. I am torn now as I can’t decide which one I love the most. I was so attached to Kingfall histories that I never thought Fatemarked series would blow my mind. I am obviously not great with words but you are the best author in fiction and fantasy I came across. Thank you for your wonderful stories. Do you have a release date for Endfall on Audible?

Hi David, hope all is well. I was wondering if you have any ARC or review copies of book one of Fatemarked? I have had my eye on this series for so long now but have been having a hard time finding a physical copy of the self pub version with that beautiful cover art! I make it my mission to read and review self published authors and share my reviews on GoodReads, Youtube, Twitter and Amazon to help spread the word:)

Hey David, I'm new to this - been a member of Goodreads as a reader for a couple of years, but have just self-published my first e-book. I haven't read your novels yet - want to! ; ) But I noticed how prolific you are and also how good you are at being involved in discussions etc on Goodreads. Have you any advice for a new author who is TIME POOR, ideas rich, and lives at the bottom of the planet? Cheers! Carla
