Goodreads asked C.T. Liotta:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.T. Liotta My forthcoming short, "Treason on the Barbary Coast!" was the result of a conversation with my co-worker, Riv Aurora, about Patrick O'Brien novels. He and I started coming up with funny ideas for a tall ship adventure, and had the thing outlined in about three days. Writing it has been a bitch. I don't (or didn't) know a whole lot about the Royal Navy, sailing and tall ships. I'm sure I got a lot of it wrong, but who cares? It's pulp. People aren't reading it to learn about the mizzen-mast. They're they're to see how the characters interact. It should be available for pre-order sometime in July.
