Goodreads asked Connie Hampton Connally:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Connie Hampton Connally When I was an elementary music teacher, I learned about the music and teaching methods of Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly. I was amazed by the ways Kodaly had promoted artistry in his country during two world wars, economic shattering, and the incoming of communism. His example inspired me. My book isn't about him, but it's set in Hungary, and the two main characters are singers.
