Hello Mr.Lawrence! I just finished the Broken Empire trilogy. I took my time reading it so I could savor every second. <3 It's hands down in my top 3 favorite trilogies so THANK YOU! Gushing aside... I've just started the "Red Queen' s War"'s first book and I'm curious how you pronounce Jalan? I assume it's a "j" like jam. But is it Jal-en? Or Juh-lahn? Excuse my awkward phonetics.

Hi Mark, I just finished Road Brothers, which immediately sent me to re-re-re reading Prince of Thorns. I won't elaborate (too long) on how big a fan I am, read and re-read all you wrote. Was I right to detect a "brotherly'' quip at a fellow writer in the footnote of Choices ? Something about the temperature of revenge ?

I just finished Grey Sister and it was deeply satisfying. Obviously I enjoy all great fantasy epics, but something particularly nice about this series is the wide cast of diverse female characters, none of whom are stereotypes or 2D in any way. My question is, did you get any push back on that? Sometimes I worry that male readers are reticent to identify with female protagonists in this genre.
