I don't know. I started a new fantasy series--the first book is out on August 20--set in a world not so different from Jeru. It has more of a Norse/ Viking feel than The Bird and the Sword and The Queen and the Cure, but I think if you like those you'll like this new world too. I have several books planned in it.

I am so happy I discovered your books on a whim. You have mastered historical fiction. I have enjoyed all that I have learned from characters I became deeply connected to. I do have a question, I've read 3 books and all seem to end with your female protagonist bearing her husband sons. Just curious if that's coincidence or if there a reason to the sons over daughters?

Ma'am, I just finished reading 'A Different Blue' and couldn't resist contacting you. The story, so beautifully written, just pulled at the strings of my heart. It was the same with Making Faces and From Sand and Ash. I just love your books! Your way of presentation is just unique.. all of your books I have read are so rich in emotions. I really appreciate it. :) (just for the sake of inserting a question mark ?)
