Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jamie Beck I wanted to write a love story about fate and people from different backgrounds being able to help each other grow. I started with my hero, Levi, a self-educated son of a con man whose mother abandoned him, then created his opposite in Lindsey, a highly educated, trust fund baby with every advantage. One might think Levi would be less confident because of his background, but it is actually Lindsey who struggles with confidence and identity. Hopefully the reader will enjoy watching these two push each other outside their comfort zones while growing together in love.

I am currently reading The Memory of You. I was born and raised in Connecticut and I have never heard of a place named Sanctuary Sound. Is there a particular town on the Long Island Sound coastline that you were thinking about when you wrote this book?
