Hello Sylvain. I've just finished reading Dante's Inferno, a profound trip for any human being. Among the characters mentioned there I've noticed the presence of mythological creatures. Maybe Ulysses and Achilles were real persons, but it's difficult to accept that the Cerberus existed. I've listened to some lectures on Dante but found nothing. What is your opinion on Dante's decision to do it?

It's a good question. I don't know for certain what Dante's motivations were. He may have included Cerberus because he liked the imagery. He may have included Cerberus because he thought the ancients had a special insight into the after life ...
