I have noticed some similarities between the characters in The False Prince trilogy and the Mark of the Thief trilogy. Is there anyone that you like to base your characters off of, or do you just enjoy writing about people with certain personalities?? Also, are there any series or author recommendations that you have that are similar to your books that you have enjoyed?

Hi Avery - To me, Sage and Nic are very different personalities. They may have some similarities, but that's likely considering that all my characters originate from me. However, generally speaking, my characters aren't based on anyone - they just come from the story I'm creating at the time.

I have a book idea for you. I’m wondering if you could use it in a new book? So you should start with the character as a young boy who wants to learn to fight with a sword. I want there to be a little romance in it. But not too much to make it inappropriate. It would be cool if you could make it a little bit similar to the rangers apprentice book series.
