Thanks for letting me know you're enjoying the books. For the Edgars series, the settings are real places. I grew up in Columbus and my husband is from near Cleveland. Where do pull information from? Well, sometimes newspaper stories, sometimes people I know, but mostly, I have a vivid imagination and love to ask, "What if...?" I think the key to a good story is writing characters that make me and you guys care about them. As an RN, I've seen people in all kinds of stressful situations, seen the happy and sad, the good and the bad in people. Often, I use those emotions and reactions for my characters and then let them take me where they want to go. :)
