Write. That's it. The writing is the hard part, actually putting your butt down on a chair and doing it. No excuses. No waiting for motivation or inspiration. Just write. That's the first step to any writing career, and if you can't do that then I don't think you can be a writer. Once you're busy writing I think the rest will fall into place.
