If you want to write, write, but get advice on writing fairly quickly. It hurts a bit, starting out, but you'll appreciate it more as time goes on. The fact is, you probably don't know how to write a plot synopsis and you probably need to. You should also know how to criticize your own chapters, figure out if you're helping the plot or not.
