Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Hawkings Austin This story has a dozen starts. I told Irish folktales to my son for his bedtime stories. I took a character from an old D&D campaign and repurposed him into some ghost stories. I studied Irish pre-history for about twenty years and figured I might as well get a story out of it.

I really try not to bore the reader to death with my deep excitement in religious and cultural history. I just try to flavor the book with it.
