I thought the most beautiful and equally heart breaking part of Me before You was how close to reality the story struck. And I needed After You to be reassured that Lou was indeed okay. I just read Still Me and I am still making up my mind. What I would love to know is what was your motivation behind this story? Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lou but what was it that made you tell more of her journey?

Loved Me Before You! My son died of cancer in 2010 and one of the hardest things I struggle with sometimes is a feeling of numbness. This book somehow helped release the pain stuck in my body, so thank you for an amazing heart-felt book Jojo. I am half way through The Girl You Left Behind. Was it as emotionally consuming/draining to write Me Before You as it was for your readers to read it? I absolutely loved the book but it broke my heart reading it too.

I wonder where you get your ideas and inspiration, do you have 'wow' moments and have to jot the fabulous idea down immediately or is the story just there in your mind. I have written one novel which is in the finishing stages of being 'done' and I have another that's at 2nd draft stage, both of these just 'came' to me, I didn't really think 'what shall I write about.' ?
