Jojo Moyes:
I thought the most beautiful and equally heart breaking part of Me before You was how close to reality the story struck. And I needed After You to be reassured that Lou was indeed okay. I just read Still Me and I am still making up my mind. What I would love to know is what was your motivation behind this story? Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lou but what was it that made you tell more of her journey?

(view spoiler)[Well, from the moment I got the idea for After You, I saw it as a trilogy, with AY bringing Louisa low, and Still Me bringing her back up again. In AY I wanted to explore what would happen to someone who had been part of such a tragic, momentous event - but it was a more melancholy book than I intended, and with Still Me I wanted her to finally escape from the grief - and find herself. Jojo Moyes:
Loved Me Before You! My son died of cancer in 2010 and one of the hardest things I struggle with sometimes is a feeling of numbness. This book somehow helped release the pain stuck in my body, so thank you for an amazing heart-felt book Jojo. I am half way through The Girl You Left Behind. This is a comment and not a question, so I guess I didn't follow the rules very well. Thank you, Dana Goodman
