I just finished the first three books of The Blackthorn Key series. It is officially my new favorite book series. I was dazed by how great the plot and characters are. I especially loved Christopher, Master Benedict, and Lord Ashcombe. Does all of the complex plots and twists just come to you, or does it take practice to create such amazing plots? (PS. It is my dream to be an author, that's why I'm curious:D)

Kevin Sands It takes practice...a lot of practice. I wrote three manuscripts that never went anywhere before I started on The Blackthorn Key. Writing is just like everything else; the more you do it, the better you'll get. So if you'd like to be an author, start now! And good luck!

In the acknowledgments of Book 2, you put "→3" at the end, then at the end of Book 3, you put a bunch of gibberish (I don't have the book with me currently so I can't copy it down). As far as I know, →3 means that it's a letter shift and you make it forward 3 letters in the alphabet .... except I tried and it's still gibberish. How is this supposed to work?

Hi, I’ve been reading the blackthorn key books since i was in 5th grade (am now a sophomore in high school) and they have genuinely become a part of my life. If you (hypothetically) were to make a 7th, would we get to see more of Christopher and Sally’s romantic relationship?
