Hi Mark, love your storytelling. Out of interest, in 'Red Sister' did you intentionally focus on writing a story with an almost all female set of characters or were you simply led by the idea? I just realised (after re-reading Red Sister in preparation for book 2) that you haven't written a story dominated by female characters before. Did it present any new/different writing challenges?

Mark Lawrence Well, I intentionally centred the story on a convent. The rest seemed to flow from there.
