I am only part way into your novel and I don't want to put it down. (Sadly life intrudes.) It's so beautiful and painful and a million different emotions. I want to read it, but I don't want to read it because I want it to last...How did you manage to do this?

Well this is a fun question to wake up to! Thank you for reading and reaching out. I do believe that when mourners are ready to rise above the fog and haze of grief-- which some never are-- there is clarity and insight there. But it's a layered and complicated experience because whatever you glean is at the expense of whatever you lost and it's never worth it. So, yes, a million different emotions.

Hi Abby -- I'm halfway through the book and loving how real the characters feel; I'm actually doing the book on CD and the voices are excellent and work so well with the braided narrative.
