There seems to be no one presented who had means, motive and opp…moreThe cops found no proof of accident nor murder. The author's scant clues are useless. There seems to be no one presented who had means, motive and opportunity to kill a cheerful 9 year old. Personally I believe it's more likely than not that Robin died due to a mishap with a rope he had found somewhere, since that was his treehouse tree.

Boys, tree houses and ropes are nearly inseparable. (less)
