Geoff Habiger Great question, and it is a mash up, because I am my own publisher (indie), but my publishing company publishes works by other authors too (traditional).

I wrote Unremarkable and Wrath of the Fury Blade with Coy)and both titles are published through Shadow Dragon Press, which is a traditional (though small - i.e. micro) publisher. Shadow Dragon Press is an imprint of Artemesia Publishing, the publishing company that I am a senior partner in. So, I didn't have to submit my manuscripts to anybody as I knew all along that the books would be published. Does that make this a vanity publishing? I don't think so, because Shadow Dragon has published work by other authors, but certainly it simplifies the acceptance process.
