What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rene Fomby One of the best things I've gotten out of the process is making lots of new friends with creative, interesting people, both in person and online. I have also enjoyed the research side of my work. I do a deep dive on virtually everything I put to paper - online, in books and with lots of trips - and it is truly amazing what you can learn about this crazy world we live in! Writing really has forced me to get out of my comfortable little bubble and interact with new people and new experiences.
