I agree that someone as wealthy as the couple were supposed to be would've had trusts or life insurance to prevent Sydney's circumstances.

Sydney could've needed $ for any number of reasons w/o the dead husband & greedy step-daughters. DS should've come up w/a better idea. I wonder sometimes what editors do if they don't spot major flaws like this.(less)
