Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Aakash Mehrotra I'd rather say the story was chasing me. Choosing such a sensitive topic for my debut novel was difficult. And then a story which is more character led than narrative led, but somewhere inspiration came from the many pains I saw around me and how, in general, we chose to shut our eyes on LGBT issues. Love is love, call it by any name, colour it any way you want to, it remains the same, a pure feeling. I felt morally and spiritually drawn to my story and that kept me going.
