Hi. I just wanted to say how much i have loved the first two books in the Broken Empire trilogy. I have only recently started to get into fantasy and while looking for reads came upon your books. They are just amazing! I have the third book ready to start and have the next trilogy ready too. I wondered what inspired/influenced the character of Jorg, and what was the most challenging aspects of writing him?

Mark Lawrence Hi Rico, great to hear you're enjoying Jorg's tale. His character was inspired by Alex from Anthony Burgess's 1962 novel A Clockwork Orange.

I didn't find him challenging to write. I find that if I have a clear idea of who the character is then writing them is fun.
